चाँद सिफ़ारिश जो करता हमारी
देता वो तुमको बता
शर्म-ओ-हया के परदे गिरा के
करनी है हमको ख़ता
जिद है अब तो है ख़ुद को मिटाना
होना हैं तुझमें फ़ना

If the moon could speak for me, beloved
It would tell you this:
"Lift the veil of your shyness and let the wind
slip it from your grasp, you do not need it tonight.''
For I want to lose myself in your love
As the moon does in the sun's light,
I want to lose myself.

तेरी अदा भी है झोंके वाली छू के गुज़र जाने दे
तेरी लचक है के जैसे डाली दिल में उतर जाने दे
आजा बाहों में करके बहाना होना है तुझमें फ़ना

If the breeze could sing, beloved,
You'd hear a melody that speaks
of how it cannot match your grace,
and if the creeper that winds about your window
Could whisper, you'd know that you have
crept into my heart with more softness
than it ever could; so come into my arms,
You do not need any reason, I want to
Lose myself in your love
As the sea loses itself to the sky,

हैं जो इरादें बता दूँ तुमको शर्मा ही जाओगी तुम
